Kairoo is the consumer brand of Kairos OS Ltd, a UK company registered at Companies House. We're a small team building family screen-time tools in partnership with Nesta.

What we collect
Only what you give us. We don't track you across the web, install anything on your device, or look at your child's screens.
From the quiz
- Your answers to the 10 quiz questions
- The email address you provide at the end
- Optional — your first name and your child's first name (for personalising your result)
- Optional — a UK mobile number, only if you choose to provide it for SMS check-ins

Anonymous analytics
We use PostHog to count how many people visit and complete the quiz. This is anonymous — no name, no email, no device fingerprint stitched to your responses. We use it only to improve the funnel.
Why we collect it
- To send you your result — the personalised read you completed the quiz for
- To send a quiet 6-week check-in — only if you ticked the consent box
- To improve what we build — your answers (anonymised) help us decide what Kairoo's first product should be
- To invite you to be a founding family — only if you've explicitly opted in
Where it lives
Your data sits on UK or EU servers, encrypted at rest and in transit. We use trusted vendors (Cloudflare, Vercel, PostHog EU instance) — we don't transfer your data to companies that resell it for advertising.
We never share your data with brokers, advertisers, or training partners for AI models.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it. Every email we send has a one-click delete link that removes your entire record, no questions.
If Kairoo as a project ends, we'll delete all data within 30 days and email you to let you know.
Your rights under UK GDPR
You can ask us to:
- See what we hold on you (within 30 days)
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Delete your record (instantly, via any email link)
- Take it elsewhere — we'll export your record as JSON
- Complain to the UK ICO if you think we've handled your data badly

Cookies
We use one cookie — a session cookie that remembers your place in the quiz if you accidentally close the tab. It's deleted when you close your browser. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy materially, we'll email everyone on our list before the change takes effect. You'll always have the option to delete your data if you don't agree with a change.
