Games and apps are built to keep you going.
Good moment to find your stopping point.

⏳✨

Nice — you stopped early

TikTok's built to keep you scrolling. You stopped anyway — so these 10 minutes are yours to keep.

Meanwhile, on your phone
Tom stopped on his own — early. No nagging from you. He just did it.
🌙

That's your time for today, Tom

You stuck to your own plan and came off when it was up. That's the hard part — and you did it. Back tomorrow.

Meanwhile, on your phone
Tom came off when his time was up. No fight — you didn't have to step in.

This is the real moment. Try it — tap a button ☝

What we believe

Children don't need to be watched.
They need to be helped.

A working principle, not a tagline
What we're building

The fight ends. For both of you.

01

Agree together

You and your child build a screen-time agreement you both sign. Fair rules, set once — not imposed, agreed.

02

Kairoo runs it

The app holds the agreement and handles every "five more minutes" — so you're out of the enforcement business. No more bad cop.

03

They grow with it

Your child earns autonomy by keeping the agreement — stop early, bank the minutes, build trust. Kairoo notices when they do well, so you don't have to police or remember to praise.

A glimpse of Kairoo

When time's up, Kairoo says it — not you.

No buzzing your phone mid-dinner. No argument. Your child gets a gentle hand-off, and you get a calm night.

Nice one — you came off on time again. TikTok's designed to keep you scrolling. You stopped anyway.

Your child's screenCalm, not punished

Tom · this week
🌱 Learning to self-regulate

Stopped on his own twice this week. 0 battles.

💬 Worth asking him about

The castle he's been building in Minecraft — he's proud of it.

Not a dashboard to police. A nudge to connect.

Get Kairoo for your family

You'll feel it on day one

The first time it works, you won't be in the room.

A few hours after setup, your child's first session ends — on their own. Then this lands on your phone.

Kairoo · 4:47pm

Tom's first session just ended.

He got the 10-minute warning, found his stopping point, and stopped — on his own. No argument needed. You weren't in the room, and you didn't have to be.

That's the product. It just did its job for the first time.

Not another parental control

Most apps police a child.
Kairoo coaches one.

The difference doesn't show up in a settings screen. It shows up in your kitchen, at 8pm.

The apps you've tried

  • A kill switch the child resents
  • Rules the child never agreed to
  • Surveillance dashboards full of minutes
  • Kids learn to bypass, not to stop
  • Works until they're old enough to fight it

Kairoo

  • A wind-down the child trusts — with their name on the deal
  • Rules they helped write, and can ask to change
  • A calm weekly note about habits, not a minutes dashboard
  • Saved time belongs to them, so stopping pays
  • Built to need less of itself as your child grows

Questions parents ask us

How is this different from Apple Screen Time or Family Link?

Those are timers and locks — and they work, until your child resents them or outgrows them. Kairoo is the layer they're missing: an agreement your child co-signs, wind-downs that end sessions calmly, and saved time that makes stopping worth it. The goal is a child who eventually doesn't need any of it.

Won't my child just hate it like every other app?

The child's experience is the product. They get a say in the rules, a calm wind-down instead of a black screen, time-saving that pays them back, and a stop that always explains itself. The child can object to any rule and you'll see it. Kids fight systems imposed on them — they keep deals they helped make.

What about my child's data?

No ads, no data selling, no third-party trackers, ever. Anything your child writes is checked on their device only, and we never show you something the child was told was private. We build to the UK Children's Code — privacy is a feature we'll publish, not a policy we'll hide.

Which phones will it work on?

We're building for both iPhone and Android. iPhone uses Apple's family-controls access, which we've applied for. Early families get each platform the moment it's ready — join the waitlist and we'll tell you which comes first.

When does it launch, and what will it cost?

We're in active build at Nesta Mission Studio, testing with UK families now. Pricing isn't fixed yet — early families help us shape it, and you'll always hear it from us first. Joining the waitlist is free and commits you to nothing.
