About the quiz

How long does the quiz really take?

Five minutes if you go quickly. Eight if you read the questions carefully. The longest section is the rank-top-3 in question 9 — that's the one we ask you to slow down on.

What do I get at the end?

A personalised on-screen read with:

· Your read — context for where your family sits
· The pattern we see — one or two insights synthesised from your answers
· What's going well — three affirmations
· Three things to try this week — actions picked from your specific frictions
· Your next conversation — a script for your hardest moment
· Six-week checkpoints — measurable milestones tied to your goals

It's yours to keep, free.

Is the result actually personalised, or is it generic?

It's genuinely personalised. The actions are picked from a library of 11 templates based on the specific frictions you tick. The conversation script is one of 11, picked based on your top-ranked help priority. The checkpoints are pulled from your top-3 ideal outcomes. The pattern detection looks at combinations across multiple of your answers.

That said — we're a small team. The intelligence is rule-based, not GPT-style. If your answers don't fit our library cleanly, the result may feel less specific. We're working on it.

What if I don't want to share my child's name?

Don't. It's optional. The result will just say "your child" instead. Same with your own name.

Can my partner / co-parent also take the quiz?

Yes — and we'd love that. For now, you'd each take it independently. In a future version we'll let you compare reads side by side. Join the waitlist to be notified.

About your data

What do you do with my answers?

Three things:

1. Generate your personalised result.
2. Anonymously aggregate them with answers from other parents, so we can decide what to build first.
3. Send you the result + one quiet 6-week check-in.

That's it. No selling, no sharing, no advertising. See your data for the short version or the privacy policy for the full one.

How do I delete my data?

Every email we send has a one-click delete link in the footer. Click it, and your entire record is gone. No follow-up, no win-back attempts.

If you'd rather email us, send "Delete me" to hello@kairoo.co.uk.

Will you ever sell my data?

No. Never. It's in our privacy policy, and if we ever change that policy we'll email you in advance and let you delete first.

Do you track my child?

No. We don't install anything on any device, don't access any account, don't monitor any screens. We're not parental-control software. Everything we know about your child is what you tell us.

About Kairoo

Who's behind Kairoo?

Kairoo is the consumer brand of Kairos OS Ltd, a small UK team building family screen-time tools. We're working in partnership with Nesta — the UK innovation agency — and applying insights from the Behavioural Insights Team (BIT).

Are you a parental control app?

No. We're the opposite — we believe children don't need to be watched. They need to be helped. Apple Screen Time, Bark, Qustodio, Aura all do control. We do clarity — helping parents understand what's actually happening and what would actually fit their family.

What product are you actually building?

That's what the quiz is helping us figure out. We have several hypotheses (agreement-building tools, conversation scripts, multi-parent coordination, early-warning trackers) and your top-3 ranked priorities in the quiz tell us what to build first.

Sprint 1 (now) is to listen. Sprint 2 (June–July) is to build the most-asked-for thing. Founding families will see it first.

Why "Kairoo"?

From kairos — the Greek word for "the right moment". The right moment to have the conversation. The right moment to set the rule. The right moment to give them more freedom. That's what we help parents recognise.

Are you free? Will you stay free?

The quiz is free. It'll stay free. The personalised result is free. It'll stay free.

The product we build next may have a paid tier — we're using question 10 of the quiz to learn what's worth paying for. If you join the waitlist or become a founding family, you'll get early access regardless of what we charge.

About founding families

What does "founding family" mean?

The first 100 families who shape what Kairoo becomes. You get:

· A 15-min founders' chat with us (one of the three founders) within a week of opting in.
· First access to whatever we build, before public launch.
· A direct say in what we prioritise next.
· A founding-family mention if you'd like one (optional).

It's a higher-commitment relationship than the waitlist. We expect you to give us 15 minutes; we'll give you the first version.

How is founding family different from the waitlist?

Waitlist = "Email me when something's ready." Passive.

Founding family = "I want to help shape this. Bring me in." Active.

You can change tiers at any time. Email us if your commitment level shifts.

Do I have to be a founding family to join the waitlist?

No. You can join the waitlist with just one tap (no quiz, no chat). The quiz + founding family are deeper engagement paths — but waitlist alone is fine.

The future

When will Kairoo launch?

We're aiming for an early-access version in late summer 2026 with founding families, with a wider UK launch in autumn 2026. We'll only launch when we're certain the product helps — not before.

Will Kairoo work for my child's age?

The quiz works for parents of children aged 5–13. The product we build will probably focus on a tighter window first — Sprint 1 data will tell us which age band has the most acute need. If your child is outside that window, we'll let you know whether what we build will fit or whether to wait for v2.

Will there be an iOS or Android app?

Still in discussion — and honestly, this is the kind of decision we want you to shape. We listen to users before we lock the platform.

If a native app is what would help your family most, tell us. The more parents we hear from, the better the call we'll make.
